The Future...
A word from our Company Producer
Thank you for taking the time to browse our website, I hope you enjoyed it!
After the success in 2008 and our nomination for a Channel 4Talent Award, 2009 was another busy year for Bunbanter. In April, our plays went live on two new radio stations; Radio Cherwell and Halton Community Radio. On top of that and the usual production work we welcomed three new members to the permanent team, started a theatre school and can now happily announce our two new patrons; Finty Williams and Alan Cox. See the patrons page for more details. We also ventured into a world of underwater drama with the Wet Sounds project. We crafted "Atlantis" - An underwater play which was aired at Clissold Leisure Pool in Hackney. With all sorts of fun games and crazy fish-antics it was an afternoon not to forget!
Towards the end of the year we also announced our new partnership with Big Head Studios in association with Kingston College.
2010 is already looking extremely exciting with a new creative producer in the shape of Samuel Miller and the production well under way for Series 9 & 10 due to be recorded between now and Easter. In post-production, we are finally close to the end of the cycle with Series 8 and Series 7 has already started to air on some of our stations. Pre-planning has also begun on Series 10 & 11, due to record in August and Series 12 & 13 later on in the year.
The education side of the company also continues to grow with bookings for our 'Whisper in your Ear' workshops and our Saturday Theatre School going from strength to strength. We look forward to hearing the Saturday School's radio plays (currently recording) and their end of year show to be shown on a professional stage early in the summer.
Finally, I want to say an immeasurable thank you to everyone who has worked with Bunbanter over the past few years; our work is only ever as good as the people who work on it! Another thank you is, as always, is directed at the Core Team. I admire them greatly and they not only inspire the overall direction of the company but also manage to continue to be fun to work with while still working bloody hard!
There are many other people who also support the company in so many way and I must say a huge thank you to them. We would not be able to function without those who have given their time and money so generously. To see some of the wonderful people who have supported us so far please visit our thank you page.
Thank you again for supporting us as we continue to deliver our style of drama to the masses!!
