Inspired by the morality folk and fairy tales of old, Bunbanter radio plays are like no other! Each play, set in various genres, has some moralistic thread running through them and all have the unique, quirky Bunbanter style. Although our radio plays are child friendly they are predominantly for adults so they can be dark, unpredictable and weird.

Our tales are new writing encouraged by our series genres, promoting the mix of our storytelling heritage with the new society of today. Old moralistic tales are disappearing into our past, and being replaced by films and computer games. We aim to re-write these stories, inspired by the tales of old, encouraging people of today's world, the way past generations inspired our grandparents!

Upcoming Series'

Series Four of Radio Plays will be a dark Film Noir, Crime and Spies adventure, all with that moral twist to keep you guessing. There will be murder and intrigue, agreements broken and flawed heroes, wherever we take you, it wont be Kansas any more!

Series five of Radio Plays returns to the successful series two genre of Sci-fi, with a small twist of Post-apocalyptic and Dystopian fiction. You thought you had seen it all with jumping babies and out of body experiences but that was just series two, this is series five!!

Series Six of Radio Plays takes on the challenge of a War and Conflict genre. Following bawdy women, heroes and ghostly men as you travel through this series and experience worlds in the darkest of times.


Writers...

Bunbury Banter supports new writing and believe it is extremely important to the future of the industry. We are always interested in hearing from new writers! Prior experience is therefore not mandatory but the ability to tell a hell of a story is absolutely essential!

We have a team of readers who work with our writers to produce the ultimate bunbanter radio plays from their scripts. We also send out script reports when working with new writing, as we have found they can be extremely helpful to developing writers.
